This book is about the WLB/family-friendly policies of women working in the banking sector in Mozambique, therefore, it will provide a review of the existing literature on the subject. It will start by providing a brief definition of the concept and the main programs adopted by organizations to balance their employees work and personal lives. The chapter will be divided into two main sections. The first section will examine WLB in the UK and some European countries, and then it will look at WLB policies in the UK banking sector. The second section will look at WLB policies in the Mozambican context and it will start by giving an overview of the country.
