Work stress and family imbalance is a subject of interest for all those people who are interested in firstly knowing about the quality of working life and then secondly its effect on the family life. This research focused on the relationship between workplace stress and family imbalance. This study aimed at quantifying the relationship between two variables i.e. Work stress and family imbalance. Study conducted was exploratory and correlational. Pakistan has a strong banking system as compared to other service sectors, which consists of different institutes ranging from State bank of Pakistan to a wide variety of commercial banks. Reasons of stress were studied among 500 middle level managers working in banks and then their affect on an individual and his/her family members was studied. Main objective of the study was to explore the relationship between work stress and family imbalance. The main hypothesis of this research work was co-relational i.e. higher the work stress higherwill be the family imbalance. The basic idea behind this research study was to find the relationship among two variables that are workplace stress and family imbalance.
