The salient fact presenting a major challenge for an organization¿s agenda of the century is workforce diversity. Today¿s organizations are heavily affected by globalization and changes in the demographic structure of the society. Ethiopia is a country in which more than 80 ethno cultural as well as linguistic groups live. Hence, it is important to formulate policies to address workforce diversity issues at all levels of organizations to treat employees in a fair way. As such, the rationale for this study was that, while previous studies tackled the topic of workforce diversity in general, none of them considered the practices of workforce diversity management in the context of academic settings. Therefore, the study presented in this paper was aimed to analyze the practices of workforce diversity management in Adigrat University, Tigray, Ethiopia. In conclusion, while the university practices flexible working policies, it is recommended that, the university should try to seek other proactive alternative approaches of workforce diversity management. Finally, this research indicated that there is a scope to further develop this concept and farther research into this area.
