Autorenporträt
Stephanie Martin's career as a speech and language therapist combined clinical practice, research, lecturing, student supervision and writing. She holds an MA in Voice Studies and was awarded a doctorate for her research exploring factors which have an impact on the vocal performance and vocal effectiveness of newly qualified teachers and lecturers. Stephanie is a Past-President of the British Voice Association and in 2005 was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) for research and teaching. She represented the RCSLT for three years as a member of the Standing Liaison Committee of Speech and Language Therapists Logopedists in the European Union. In addition to the strong clinical bias of her publications with Myra Lockhart, The Voice Sourcebook began a writing partnership with Lyn Darnley drawn from their workshops, addressing issues with the teacher's voice. Their most recent publication, The Voice in Education, was published in 2019.
