Organic tea has a niche market. The global market can be segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and rest of the world. China and India are exporting organic green and black teas to Japan, Europe and the USA. Around 75-80 per cent of organic teas were exported to the US and Germany followed by France, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Japan and Holland. Organic tea is the fastest growing section of the tea industry in the USA particularly in North America. Different global market research firm have expected to increase by a CAGR of 5-13% next five years in U.S. Recently most of the tea producing countries has been greatly affected by disrupting tea supply chain due to national lockdowns during COVID -19 pandemic.
