The author was born in McKinney, Texas. In addition to a fulfilling career in the U.S. Army, Clarence worked as a technical writer and editor for 20 years . He is married, and he and his wife Ginny have a grown son and a daughter. He is also the author of Mama Squad, Wheezer¿s World, and The World¿s Oldest Recruit.
