Hopefully based on the information in this book, healthcare facilities countrywide can have a unified and consistent approach to wound care and conduct and disseminate local research, for all healthcare practitioners to follow. It is of paramount importance that we do not cause harm to the healing wound and to the peri-wound skin by our treatment. It is also vital that we have a holistic approach to wound management by paying attention to the patient's overall condition and his or her social background. I hope we can update this book from time to time with the help of my colleagues in the field to keep up with modern research and developments. The readers are requested to send suggestions for improvement of the book which will be incorporated in future prints.
