The leaves of Allophylus abyssinicus (Hochst.) Radlk. (family: Sapindaceae) are traditionally used for the treatment of wounds, burns and in arresting bleeding and skin diseases in the Ethiopian folk medicine. However, there is no prior scientific study regarding phytoconstituents and biological activities. Therefore; the present study was aimed at evaluating the wound healing activity of the plant.

Adem Y. Dawed has completed his B. Pharm from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) in 2007. He has done his Master¿s in Pharmacognosy from 2008-2011. Adem has also studied MPH at Lund University, Sweden. He worked in different positions ranging from graduate assistant to lecturer at School of Pharmacy, Addis Ababa University from 2007-2012.
