Erica Victoria Hicks Jenkins was born and raised in the low country area of Early Branch which is a small town located in Hampton County of South Carolina. She graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1985. She was crowned miss homecoming during the years of 1984-1985. She graduated from Voorhees College in Denmark South Carolina with a BA in Business Administration in 1989. She started her career in banking and has always worked in administration positions. She was employed at the Seabrook in the beautiful town of Hilton head South Carolina where she worked for 12 years. Due to unforeseen health issues she was forced into early retirement at the ripe age of 50 back in 2018. She was diagnosed with kidney disease. Earlier this year she was blessed with a second chance at life when she was gifted a kidney after years of fighting years of praying she had her kidney transplant on February 14, 2021 the day of love. Although she doesn't have any biological kids of her own she does have 6 beautiful godchildren including one who she considers to be her own, Charmaine Givens she is a light in my eye and a fi re in my heart. Now she spends her time trying to live everyday with meaning and striving to be her best self by eating right, exercising, using positive thinking, reading and writing, and spending time with the ones she loves the most, her family and friends.
