Autorenporträt
Dr. Martha Joseph Watts is an educational consultant and teacher trainer with more than a decade of proven results in providing professional training to teachers and school administrators. By engaging both one-on-one coaching and team-building methodologies, Watts develops resources for improving students' performance in reading and writing across content areas. This second installment to her Writing to Respond series bears evidence of her mastery. A graduate of Dominica Teachers Training College, University of the Virgin Islands, and Walden University, Dr. Watts has taught on various levels of the academic spectrum-from elementary school to higher education. Thus, she acquired firsthand experience managing the challenges and identifying the opportunities that are presented daily to teachers and administrators. She has been recognized for her contributions to the teaching of the humanities and continues to share her passion at summer institutes and conferences with the Daytona and Virgin Islands Writing Projects, and ASCD. She is married and has one son.
