An anthology of stories which capture everyday life, with writings from the twelfth grade to those inspired by present day experiences, all with an underlying theme of God's blessings. Themes range from loss, illness, healing, humor, depression, and some works of poetry. The closing story, "Dust Off," is a moving look back at the heroes of Vietnam-US Army Huey helicopter pilots who risked their lives time after time to save the lives of others. Each entry in the book includes photos of the author's roses which bless the author's gardens with God's perfect design. Without God's help this book would not have made it to publication to share the "good, the bad, and the ugly" moments of life.

Autorenporträt
Jim Reaves' love for writing began in the twelfth grade when his English teacher, Mrs. Sally Wilson, encouraged him to write. Jim's life has been filled with miracles. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease over eight years ago, and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Prostate cancer fifteen years ago. Yet he remains in remission from each condition, believing every day is a God-given blessing. A twenty-three year Army veteran, Jim began serving as an E1 and after receiving his Officer Commission, retired as a major in 1989.Jim lives in Jacksonville, Alabama, with his lovely wife Jan and their scrappy cat, Sam. Aside from writing, he enjoys raising and photographing hybrid tea roses.
