Bu Xianqun, PhD in history, is research fellow and Director of the Institute of Ancient History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He is also professor and Dean of the Department of History, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His publications include books such as A Chinese History Reader, A General History of China, Corruption and Anti-corruption in Chinese History, Bureaucracies of the Qin and Han Dynasties, as well as over 100 articlesin People's Daily, Qiushi, and Social Sciences in China.
