XY Leadership is part of the emerging trends and is based on the current paradigm, welfare and satisfaction of employees. It is based on the assumptions of Douglas McGregor in his X and Y theories, who defines an X employee as someone who dislikes work and therefore avoids it, and a Y employee as someone who enjoys work. The foundations for this style of leadership are established through a qualitative and descriptive bibliographical analysis that, using the inductive method, proposes the structure of the proposal. In the analysis four scenarios are contemplated: 1) employees X who remain X in time; 2) employees X who become Y; 3) employees Y who remain Y in time, and 4) employees Y who become X. The results explain that, for the management of these situations, two strategies are suggested: 1) Transform and 2) Maintain, as well as the integration of the following systems: 1) Control, 2) Training, 3) Participation and 4) Delegation. It concludes with a structured system and suggests this document as an approach to the structure of a leadership style that should be analyzed and validated.
