YSR Rythu Bharosa is one of the nine Navratna welfare schemes of the Andhra Pradesh (AP) government. It was announced and implemented on 15 October 2019 in AP. This scheme provides monetary assistance to the farmers, including tenant farmers across the State. YSR Rythu Bharosa is a scheme for the farmers which is similar to PM Kisan Yojana, under this scheme eligible farmers of Andhra Pradesh get Rs. 13,500 - yearly. The benefits of the scheme are sent directly to the individual bank account, the amount of Rs. 13,500 - sent in three installments. The following are the key points of the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme: Estimated at Rs. 10,625 crores, the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme will give assistance of Rs. 50,000 to farmers owning up to 5 acres of land. For 4 years, farmers who own land will be given Rs.12,500 as aid before the start of the sowing season (Rabi and Kharif seasons). The scheme will also give total assistance of Rs. 2500 crore to tenant farmers. The main feature of the scheme is that the money will be directly deposited in the farmer's bank account, doing away with all middlemen and avoiding the pitfalls of corruption of any kind in the disbursement of funds.
