Yannick Daniel Quesnel (born 24 October 1973 in Libourne, Aquitaine) is a former French footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Most of his professional career was spent in Portugal. In 2000, he started an adventure in Portugal that would last five years, starting with second level''s Associação Naval 1º de Maio, signing with F.C. Alverca in the following year. After stellar performances at Alverca, then S.L. Benfica''s feeder club, which included the Portuguese Liga Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2001 02, even though his club suffered a relegation, Quesnel moved to precisely Benfica, on a three-year deal; however, being only third-choice behind José Moreira and Quim, he would spend the next one 1/2 seasons loaned, one of those back in his country, with Olympique de Marseille.
