On an acre-and-a-half corner lot in rural south Florida, there lives a group of critters that call "Yardville" home. It's a welcoming place to be where you can just be yourself... even if you're a talking disembodied hand! Not since Thing T. Thing or The Crawling Hand has there been a creature quite as peculiar as Handy; the severed right hand of a mad scientist brought to life by a witch's black magic, this limber limb has had quite a wacky start at life. And it only gets wackier when his creators chase after him to have him reattached! But luckily for the little guy, Handy's found an accommodating group of friends (Flannery the flamingo, Regina the raccoon, Ophilia the legless lizard, Buster the gargoyle and Raffles the rat) who know all too well what it's like to live with the wannabe villains, so they're always eager to help him out of trouble. With his newfound freedom, Handy looks forward to exploring his new home and the big world around him... well, as best as he can!
