High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yaxley F.C. is a football club based in Yaxley, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. Yaxley FC was formed in 1900. Under the name Yaxley Rovers, they were founder-members of the Peterborough League in 1902. The club had an indifferent time during the 1950s, going out of existence at one point, but in 1964 a revived and rejuvenated Yaxley rejoined the Peterborough League. They won Division Three (South) title in 1969, were promoted from Division Two in 1972, and three successive second places in Division One led to a place in the Premier Division in 1975. In 1988 Yaxley moved up to the Eastern Counties League, but dropped out in 1992 due to inadequate ground facilities, joining the Huntingdonshire League.
