Mozella Mitchell is a minister, pastor and founder of Love of Christ A.M.E. Zion Tabernacle in Brandon, Florida. She is also Professor Emeritus of religion and former Chair of the Religious Studies Department at the University of South Florida, Tampa. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from LeMoyne College, Memphis; a master's degree in English from the University of Michigan; a master's degree in religious studies from Colgate Rochester Divinity School; and a doctorate degree in religion and literature from Emory University.
