Yeast Alcohol Dehydrogenase. This book is presenting 11 research papers out of three dozen published by the authors on the subject of structure, function and mechanism of action of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase, in past three decades. This book is dealing with investigations of a single enzyme - alcohol dehydrogenase from baker s yeast, and represents a comprehensive report covering all aspects of investigations of the structure, function and mechanism of action of this enzyme. The aim of this monograph is to provide an interested reader with a comprehensive story of a single enzyme and thus show him or her the way into the subject of modern enzyme research. The whole monograph is divided into four parts: Part One: Structure and function of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase, Part Two: Bioorganic reactions related to alcohol dehydrogenase catalysis, Part Three: Substrates, ligands and inhibitors of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase, and Part Four: Mechanism of action of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase.
