Nowadays there is a big mass of sheep of Yedilbay sheep breed with rather high meat and greasy productivity and coarse wool. The especially important biological features of these sheep are consolidated heredity and high growth energy of lambs at a young age. A comparative study of the slaughter performance and meat qualities of the Unilbay sheep breed and the Unilbay type is given.
