Autorenporträt
Ian Manook, seudónimo de Patrick Manoukian, nació en Meudon, Francia, en 1949. Periodista, editor y escritor, es licenciado en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas por la Sorbona y en Periodismo por el Institut Français de Presse. En los años setenta publicó artículos y reportajes sobre turismo, y a mediados de los ochenta creó Manook, una agencia de comunicación especializada en autores de viajes. Durante su extensa carrera ha firmado guiones para cómics de humor, dos libros de viajes y también una novela juvenil, por la que mereció el Premio Gulli 2012. Con Yeruldelgger. Muertos en la estepa ganó el Premio SNCF du Polar 2014, el Premio de las Lectoras de Elle y el Premio de los Lectores de Quais du Polar/20 Minutes, entre otros, y con Tiempos salvajes obtuvo el Premio de los Lectores de Le Livre de Poche 2016. Sus novelas se han traducido a diez idiomas.
