Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most extensively cultivated cereals of the world. Nitrogen is the key nutrient which plays a vital role in the yield of rice. Use of USG (urea supper granules) as a source of nitrogenous fertilizer to Boro rice in Bangladesh can offer a compelling example of effective approach to managing urea fertilizer those results in not only improved efficiency but also greater yield with less urea fertilizer. Placement of USG in the root zone is the most effective method for increasing the nitrogen use efficiency and rice yield. This experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of two Boro rice varieties, depth of placement & optimum level of USG application, interaction effect of variety & level of USG with appropriate depth of placement for better yield.
