Ylmf OS is a free software Linux distribution derived from the Ubuntu operating system. Its user interface closely resembles that of Microsoft Windows XP. The distribution was originally not available in the English language, though shortly after the initial release in late 2009 an English language version of Ylmf OS was released. Despite the very similar likeness to Windows XP''s Luna theme the default theme for Windows XP Microsoft does not appear to be planning to take any sort of action against the operating system or its developers. Free software, software libre or libre software is software that can be used, studied, and modified without restriction, and which can be copied and redistributed in modified or unmodified form either without restriction, or with minimal restrictions only to ensure that further recipients can also do these things and that manufacturers of consumer-facing hardware allow user modifications to their hardware.
