Autorenporträt
Licenciado en Filosofía y Letras (Historia) por la Universidad de Granada en 1969, diplomado en archivos en la última promoción de la desaparecida Escuela de Documentalistas de la Biblioteca Nacional en 1980, y doctor en Historia por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid en 1990, tuvo su primer contacto editorial con uno de los pilares de la Leyenda Negra, la Inquisición, en la publicación por la Universidad Complutense de su obra "Autores y anónimos españoles en los índices inquisitoriales". A partir de entonces, el rechazo a la Leyenda Negra estuvo siempre presente en sus conferencias de Historia
