Autorenporträt
Author Bio Mark Flint was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis over 25 years ago. He had always been fit and athletic, an ex-professional golfer and successful businessman. When diagnosed he was advised to take a steroid a day for the rest of his life or end up in a wheelchair. He chose not to take this advice. Instead, he went on a course of discovery about how to put his body back together without resorting to medications. He began by experimenting with foods to find an arthritis friendly diet and trying various other alternative remedies and treatments. Born and raised in the UK Mark now lives in Mysore India with his wife and young son. There they run a heritage guest house and also teach yoga in Asia for a few months each year. It is in Mysore that Mark discovered the benefits for his condition of Ashtanga Yoga and began practicing seriously under the guidance of Sharath Jois. In 2009, Mark was authorised by the K Y Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Institute to teach this style of yoga in 2012
