Produktbeschreibung
This new translation and commentary on the Yoga Sutras offers fresh insights grounded in integrative analysis, while weaving a multidimensional tapestry of poetry, chanting and elucidating perspectives from Vedantic, Buddhist, Christian and Sufi traditions. The author's long-standing desire to find depth and clarity through an inclusive point of view has been a driving force in the writing of this Commentary. Sometimes that means adding a fresh angle to what has been filed away as already understood. Sometimes it requires taking a bold stance, even a controversial stance when needed, to bring attention to a window of perception that has been too often overlooked in favor of something more familiar. Cultural bridges are built upon sympathetic comparisons and finding the places where our common perspectives meet. Bridges in the soul are built upon a quiet place in our hearts where truth speaks softly and embraces all that we have to give.
