Meagan Corrado is a Doctor of Social Work and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master's degree from Bryn Mawr College. She works as a therapist and professor in the Philadelphia and Camden, NJ areas. She is the creator of the Storiez Trauma Narrative intervention. Storiez helps inner city youth to create, voice, and honor their life narratives. It helps youth look at the past challenges and victories that they have experienced and supports them in creating a future vision. Corrado's work is inspired by her experiences as a therapist, professor, and trauma survivor. Her hobbies include creative writing and mixed media artwork. Ever since she could pick up a pencil, Corrado loved to write. She penned creative writing pieces throughout elementary school and continued to write into high school and college. She values the power of words to engage, motivate, and capture the reader. Corrado began creating artwork in 2012. She makes mosaic, alcohol ink, and collage art as a way to abstractly express thoughts and feelings while also working through her own stress and trauma. Corrado authored seven other books: Storiez: A Guide for Therapists, Storiez: A Guide for Children and Teenagers, Storiez: A Do It Yourself Guide, Stronger Than You Think, You Are Never Lost, Storiez: A Feelingz Guide, and Storiez: A Group Treatment Guide.
