Dr. Charles V. Hamilton was a professor of Political Science at Columbia University. Dr. Hamilton was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1935 his mother moved to Chicago's South side with her three children. Hamilton grew up in a low income neighborhood; however, he did graduate from college with B.A. degree and followed that with a J.D. law degree, an M.A., and a Ph.D. He. taught at several universities, ending his career in New York at Columbia University.
