Valerie K. Brown is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She readily serves beside her husband, Bishop Kim Walter Brown, The Presiding Prelate of the Mount Global Fellowship of Churches with locations currently in Chesapeake, Virginia; Elizabeth City, NC; Charlotte, NC; and Yorktown, Virginia. Bishop Brown serves as the Senior Site Pastor of the Chesapeake location of Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. Elder Valerie serves as the Executive Pastor over the Global Fellowship. Together they are the proud parents of two children, James and Kimberly, one daughter-in-law, Keshia, and one grandson, James Emmanuel. Valerie has an earned doctorate in Business Management from The Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Brown received her CPA certification (inactive) in 1980 in the State of Virginia and had served as an Associate Professor of Management at the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia where she taught Church Administration, Finance, and Leadership in the Masters of Divinity Program. Valerie is also the author of "What's In a Title, A New Leadership Paradigm," and "The MisEducation of The Christian, God's Original Plan for our Finances."
