After years of dreaming and fantasizing, an African American finally went to Europe, where she spent 23 years of magical travels and unexpected encounters. She discovered the thrill of being a rarity in a country where the beautiful blond is the norm. Barely noticed in the States, in Europe she received more attention than wanted. This book of memoirs recounts the author's experiences of living and traveling in Europe. During her years in Europe, she traveled extensively-from North Africa to Siberia. She met an assortment of people; some pleasant, some strange, all unforgettable. She found differences in people to be only superficial. Europeans, Americans, Asians-all to some degree share the traits of kindness, distrust of the unknown, prejudice, love, desire, curiosity, and friendship. In this book the reader will meet some people exemplifying these traits.
