Peter Lightfoot From 1989 Peter practised as a consultant coach to management leaders and their teams long before the concept of a 'business coach' became mainstream. He worked for many years alongside Sir John Whitmore, founder of Performance Consultants. He contributed to Sir John Whitmore bestselling book 'Performance Coaching' which challenged and changed the leadership role of managers and their teams throughout the corporate world. Peter brought a sports background to the world of business coaching. Originally a Chartered accountant he later became a National Ski Coach, promoting the practice of the Inner Game upon which 'Performance Coaching 'is based. His experiences of developing the skills of skiers, and the lessons he learned in coaching to improve performance, are written up in his book 'Skiing is only a Game'. These principles still influence his style of business coaching. Clients for whom he has acted as executive, or team coach include KPMG, Texaco, Scottish Life, Cornhill Insurance and Lloyds bank. Now retired he welcomes this opportunity to contribute to this book and collaborate with Anna Hislop in sharing his experience with another generation of corporate team members and their leaders.
