Constance Kamii is a professor of early childhood education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her other books include Young Children Reinvent Arithmetic and Young Children Continue to Reinvent Arithmetic--3 rd Grade. Linda Joseph is now the principal of Gwin Elementary School in the Hoover City Schools near Birmingham.
