Autorenporträt
Brooke's fourth-grade science fair project was an attempt to bring together all the things she loved then: "Does reading improve your drawing skills?" The project was inconclusive, but it did teach her one thing: spilling vinegar on washable marker drawings can ruin your results. Thus began a long career of doodling, reading, and science-ing, which finally led her to write about Bernice and Bunsen. Her daytime job as a software engineer and master's student keeps her busy, but she loves playing writer/illustrator between classes, and sharing Bernice's story.
