Our prayer for this book is that it provides an outline for those hungry to study the end times so they can wake the sleepers and open their spiritual eyes to see how close we are to Christ's return and the dramatic eternal consequences of how we live. Our prayer for this book is that it provides an outline for those hungry to study the end times so they can wake the sleepers and open their spiritual eyes to see how close we are to Christ's return and the dramatic eternal consequences of how we live. The teachings about the second coming of Christ and the Books of Daniel and Revelation are full of symbolism, mystery, and ominous predictions, which can be challenging to understand, so many churches and pastors avoid the topic altogether. However, exploring the scriptures, history, mythology, and symbolism is exciting, especially when our eyes get opened to see the puzzle pieces come together to understand God's prophetic plans for humanity. We have made this study as simple as possible, reasonably brief, and to the point. Because we use a lot of graphics and charts, we used an 8.5 x 11-page size to make it easier to see. We will let the Bible speak for itself; with the unclear passages, we will cross-reference with other scripture verses, suggest the most likely scenarios, or admit that we don't know. We will follow the traditional line of questioning that asks who, what, when, where, how, and why. Like the Bereans, we will prove everything with scripture and try to keep it easily understandable but complete. However, this book is not for seminary students and denominational company men with institutional bias; we will call it as we see it, which may differ from the standard religious institutional dogmas and cliches'. To put it bluntly, we will kick over some golden calves. For those new to this teaching, we will start with a brief outline of the big picture and then go back to fill in the gaps with the details. The following is a list of the significant events of the end times: deceptions and false Christ, wars and rumors of war, the Gog Magog battle, the rapture, the Antichrist and global government, the seven-years of tribulation, the abomination of desolation, the image and mark of the Beast, Armageddon and Christ's return to judge the nations, the sheep and the goats, the Millennial kingdom, the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the Great White Throne Judgment. That is the big picture condensed into a nutshell. We will review those topics and fill in the gaps to provide more details. We live in the end times and can see the signs of Christ's return. Starting with Israel becoming a nation in 1948, the end times birth-pains have increased in frequency and intensity, then 9/11/2001 rocked the world, in 2020 the world shut down, then on October 7, 2023, the world was horrified by the attack against Israel, and what's next? World War III looms on the horizon, and persecution of Jews and Christians is coming. We need to be like Noah and prepare an Ark to save souls. Regardless of whether another event like 2020 happens and the churches get closed or if they are open, we should become the church everywhere we go, witness to people, make disciples, and create networks of believers with whom to have fellowship until Christ returns for us in the rapture or at death. While we have time and freedom, we should work for the Lord because the fields are white for harvest, but the laborers are few.
