You may have heard it said that hindsight is 20/20. That's certainly how it's been for me. The longer we continue to live, the more acute our understanding of how and why our life has unfolded as it has. One would think that as life evolves, we would get better and better at living life. That isn't necessarily so. And that's the reason I finally gave in to the Holy Spirit to write after a year of refusing. This is my story of spiritual transformation made possible by the power of the Scriptures and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. My goal is to help the reader discover how to live in the freedom God intended for us as a disciple of our Lord Jesus. My mission is to help people aged thirteen through adulthood, to discover how to live in the freedom of really knowing and loving themselves, to develop a healthy inner language and to live boldly knowing they are enough. Stop and think about your own inner voice. What common thread in your inner language have you used over time that has shaped the person you've become? Does your inner voice speak truth or lies? Have you spent so much time listening to your inner voice that you believe these thoughts whether true or not? This book is the link connector between children's self-identity and the developed language they adopt as their own. Through the lens of the Scriptures, readers will learn a new positive way to think about who they are, how to identify and value their personal gifts and talents and how to use their newfound boldness to connect and serve others. The topics covered offer an in-depth understanding of what transpires when words, environment and personality collide in unhealthy ways. Then I offer positive, practical ways of viewing oneself differently-literally by transforming the way we think. It's an immutable (unchangeable) principle I adopted that led me to a place of peace for my inner man. Your Rescued Life will teach readers: · how to have a positive attitude about yourself. · how the inner words spoken in childhood can dramatically affect daily life. · how to forgive those who have perhaps hurt them. · how to see themselves as God sees them as described in the Scriptures. · how to forgive yourself and gain transformational peace At the end of each chapter, watch for the immutable (unchangeable) principle that author, Leon Johnson adopted that led him to a place of peace for his inner man.
