After retirement in October 2015, from a forty plus year nursing career the author went back to work four days a week. The other days she spends visiting with each of her 12 grandchildren and traveling extensively to get painting references and ideas for her writing. Always making time to create original works of art in oil, clay, fiber and beads, she holds many awards for her work. "Writing and publishing has been one of my lifetime dreams," says the author. "I had no idea this series would gain a following of readers as it has, but I have begun writing book 4, in case my readers want more." The author grew up in Corinth, Mississippi and Vacaville, California. She now resides with her husband and Oliver (a Maine Coon cat they rescued) in Oakland, TN which is in west Tennessee just outside of Memphis. She recently begun a journey in learning to create art quilts and has created many award winning quilts and has a long arm quilting service. Her writing goals are to finish the book she started writing and illustrating- a children's book. Another book idea is to publish the letters she writes in her prayer closet to her Lord and Savior - Jesus, Christ.
