The aim of this paper was to examine and assess youth participation in policy decision-making processes in Bahir Dar City administration. It analyzes the experience of the youth and how youth policies were developed and implemented in the city. Participation is a core element in the growth and development of youth. The process of youth participation in policy decision-making process and performances was basically seen from different aspects In the context of social and cultural dimensions, commitment of government sector offices, NGOs, CBOs and youth themselves and the controlling and monitoring system of government in policy performance of youth activities was problematic. The activities thus have not addressed the issue of effective youth participation in decision-making processes.
