Yuzhnoye Launchers and Satellites covers 40 years of programs carried out during the Soviet period, which was marked by the Nuclear Arms Race and the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union, and 30 years of the Ukrainian period, characterized by cooperation with the West and opening up commercialization. Christian Lardier, journalist and space historian, was head of the Space section of Air & Cosmos in France for 18 years. He was president of the IFHE between 2007 and 2019, and is an academician of the IAA, an emeritus member of the AAAF and an honorary member of the RAKTs Academy of Cosmonautics.
