In 2007 he was convicted to 60 days in jail because of violent behaviour. He threw a glass in the face of another man. His ex-girlfriend Janne Rønningen also accused him of being violent and aggressive towards her.When his sentence was done he bought 150 kebabs for his fellow prisoners. He also stayed in the same cell as multi-millionaire Kjell Inge Røkke.
