Jennie Elias has a Master's Degree in the English Country House from Buckingham University. Her career as an interior design consultant has incorporated decoration on many historic listed buildings. Her previous publications are The Percy Bass Book of Traditional Decoration (2005) and, with Jane Morris, The Decorator's Guide to Fabrics, Wallpaper, Rugs and Trimmings (2006).
