RJ Mirabal pursues volunteering and membership in Southwest Writers and SCBWI. His Rio Grande Parallax fantasy series were Finalists in the NM/AZ Book Awards. His Trixie books and the new Dragon Train series were Finalists for the 2020 Next Generation Indies, 2020-21-22 NM Press Women Awards and 2020-21 NM/AZ awards. His third book of the Dragon Train series (War) was released in March 2024.
