Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online.Zlatko Tom i (born 1945) is a Croatian politician, former leader of the Croatian Peasant Party (Hrvatska selja ka stranka HSS) and a representative in the Croatian Parliament.After the Peasant Party won the 2000 elections in coalition with five other parties, Tom i became the President of the Parliament (Predsjednik Sabora). He was instated on February 2, 2000.As the speaker of parliament, he was also serving as the acting President of the Republic, due to the death of President Franjo Tu man. He gave up the position of acting president on February 18, 2000, when the newly elected president Stipe Mesi took office.Tom i remained President of the Parliament until December 2003, following new elections where the party lost seats and went into the opposition. Tom i did, however, keep a seat in the Parliament.
