Jennifer Toelle, a native of the Mid-Ohio Valley, is an accomplished museum curator and adjunct instructor of Communication Studies in Central Kansas. She resides there with her husband, children, and beloved cats. An avid traveler and genealogy enthusiast, Jennifer delights in exploring the world and uncovering its connections. She finds joy in connecting people, places, and things, often marveling at the intricate web of relationships that spans various domains.Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Columbia College and her Master of Arts in Humanities with a focus on Communication. Her passion for etymology and the study of word origins has led her to serve on the board of the Nomenclature Task Force through the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) for a decade. In this role, she also worked on the committee that helped transition the task force's book from print to an open-access online database and linked open data.
