M.B. Smith was born in Kingston, NY and grew up just outside of Woodstock. He has lived, worked, and gone to school on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and in Southern California. He is a graduate of the Ulster County Community College, Bradley University, and the Pepperdine University School of Law. He currently resides in Ashburn, VA, where he and his wife of three decades raised their four daughters.
