The episode first aired on October 12, 2005.Mac and Danny investigate the mysterious death of a man mauled and partially eaten by a tiger at the Central Park Zoo. Lindsay Monroe, a new CSI who replaced Detective Aiden Burn, is on her first case by helping Mac and Danny with the processing of evidence. Danny fools her into calling Mac "sir", a title Mac dislikes being called, and it begins the love-hate relationship between Danny and Lindsay for the first few seasons. Meanwhile, Stella and Hawkes investigate the death of a young model debutante found in a carousel. There are signs of stress but no physical evidence that she was shot or stabbed any where. The victim is identified by missing persons as Brianna Freemont. We find out that Brianna was adopted, and that hersister, Missy, was not; this is the catalyst for an intense rivalry between Brianna and Missy.
