This story is a labor of love, about her late mother, Hannia, who proved that she was a survivor, against all odds. The author has previously written three children's books dedicated to family life, and service to others. Over the years, Iryna had dedicated herself to serving others in her capacity as a member of the Lancaster Lions Club, Cheektowaga-Lancaster Zonta Organization, The Depew Boys & Girls Club, The Lancaster Youth Bureau, and was the founder of the "Tri Community Girls Club, briefly held office on the Depew Village Board. Her mother's dedication of serving others encouraged Iryna to do the same. With that concept in mind, Iryna wrote her children's books, "The Lion Pride," "My Dozen Angels," and "Zora's Letters," prompting parents and their children to take pride in their country, and their community.

Iryna Colvin Spencer is a retired businesswoman and paralegal, and she enjoys spinning a good yarn. Iryna's dedication to service and community shines through in her writing. As a member of numerous organizations, including the Lancaster Lions Club, Depew-Lancaster Zonta Organization, The Depew Boys & Girls Club, and the Lancaster Youth Bureau, Iryna has devoted herself to making a positive impact on the world around her.In addition to her new Hello Stupid cozy mystery series, Iryna has written Hannia: The Forgotten Holocaust Survivor," and five beloved children's books-The Lion Pride, My Dozen Angels, Zora's Letters, Zora's Travels, and Zora's Somewhere Over the Rainbow -which encourage children and parents alike to take pride in their country and community as well as love our furry family members.Iryna enjoys stirring up trouble, spending time with her family, making pierogi, and visiting with Zora her precocious shih tzu.
