What is it like to be a dog? A bat? Dolphin? Can we humans understand this? Now yes, thanks to the scientific work of neuroscientist and popular author Gregory Burns. Together with his colleagues, he taught dogs to use a tomograph in order to be able to observe the processes occurring in the animal's brain and analyze its thoughts and feelings. But dogs are just the beginning. Gregory Burns brings us news from the field of wildlife neuroscience: sea lions can pick up dance rhythms, dolphins see with sound, and even a marsupial wolf, extinct almost a century ago, can be learned through neuroimaging. The revolutionary scientific discoveries described by Burns prove that animals experience the same feelings that we do. This means that it is time for a person to reconsider his attitude towards both dogs and other creatures.
