Also, Ibn Qutaybah did not classify poets in layers as he did, but rather his concern was translating, collecting poets news, and choosing a group of their poems, which he marketed as representation or their occasions. He was taking into account the time arrangement in eating the poets, and most of his owners of the ancients were, but he did not give him the translations of some of the modernists such as Abu Al -Atahiya, Muslim bin Al -Walid, Al -Abbas bin Al -Ahnaf and their rule.
