"There is no single "right" way to invest, and this book critically reviews some of the most popular strategies."

--Benjamin Felix, Portfolio Manager, Head of Research at PWL Capital, Ottawa, Canada

"A thoughtful comparison on different approaches to investing, and their respective pitfalls." --Larry Swedroe, Chief Research Officer at Buckingham Strategic Wealth, Missouri, USA

"Classical academic finance treats investment like a math puzzle with a single answer for everyone. Investors have the same goals, the same definitions of risk and return, and, broadly speaking, should all have the same portfolios. In contrast, Dennison recognizes that investors have reason to invest in a variety of manners. His common-sense, plain-English outline clarifies those options to young investors, near retirees, and even active investors, for whom engaged investing might seem daunting, overly mathematical, or just discouraged. 10 Ways to Invest will help investors make choices most suitable to them. Just don't tell the academics."

--Daniel Peris, author of The Ownership Dividend (2024), Federated Hermes, Pittsburgh, USA

This book compares and contrasts 10 distinct investment philosophies and how each leads to different approaches to investment selection, portfolio construction, and risk management in practice. Each chapter aims to outline the principles and practical decisions of each different way of investing with the goal of helping readers better understand the logical implications of their own way of investment thinking, as well as a framework for evaluating how higher level investment decisions are made by their pension funds and other institutions.
