Autorenporträt
Jack Bryceland started hiking and climbing as a teenager in the Scottish Highlands. He emigrated to Canada in 1964 to pursue postgraduate studies in engineering at the University of British Columbia and later taught high-school science and mathematics for more than twenty years. He has been an active member of the British Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC) since 1966 and Chilliwack Search & Rescue since helping to found it in 1975. When he is not hiking, skiing or paddling a canoe, he lives in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Expert hikers Mary and David Macaree are the authors of 103 Hikes in Southwestern British Columbia and co-authors of 109 Walks in British Columbia's Lower Mainland.
